INTERVIEW WITH AUSTIN
CARR
ESPNU, a new Cable Channel operated by ESPN contracted Winnercomm,
Inc. to produce a series of segments on "Greatest Tournament
Performances."
Massaro Productions, Inc.
provided crew for an interview with Austin Carr. The Notre Dame
legend practically owns half the records in the NCAA Tournament
book. Most points in one game (61 vs. Ohio in 1970). Most field
goals in one game (25). Most field goals attempted in one game (44).
Carr, who also had tournament games of 52 (twice), 47 and 45 points,
owns five of the top 12 scoring efforts in March Madness history.
Today, the 1971 National Player of the Year works as the director
of community and business development and a TV analyst for the Cleveland
Cavaliers, the team he scored more than 10,000 points for.
His jersey number 34 is retired and hangs proudly in Gund Arena.
